Outdoor training camp focused on survival, natural movement, and tactical use of weapons.
Co-taught by NC SYSTEMA Chief Instructor Glenn Murphy, and Todd S Lowder Sr - US Army Special Forces veteran, survival expert, and founder of TYR Consulting and Training.
Glenn has over 30 years of experience in martial arts inlcuding Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Systema. He is a certified Systema Instructor under master Vladimir Vasiliev, and has been teaching in the Triangle since 2009.
Todd has over 30 years of experience teaching survival, military strategy, physical security, advanced firearms and counter-terrorism tactics to military and civilian groups - including 13 years in US Army Special Forces, and 26 years as a US Foreign Service Officer.
Held on 100 acres of private woodland property outside of Clayton, NC, this will be a truly immersive event. The weekend training curriculum includes:.
- movement over uneven terrain
- surviving blunt and edged weapon attacks
- striking and disarming
- tactical use of clothing and environment
- basic and advanced firecraft
- shelter and trap construction
- group tactics: patrols, ambushes, and raids
- firearm deployment and retention (dry fire only)
Open to all. Bring a tent, food, water, clothing and camping equipment sufficient for one night stay. We’ll be building shelters, but you will not be required to sleep in yours if you don’t want to.
Fee: $175 (includes training and facility fee)
