In Systema, we spend half of our training time as the "aggressor"—but how can we use that time more effectively?
This seminar will explore how to be a better training partner, create optimal learning conditions for others, and refine your own Systema skills while receiving work. Through thoughtful engagement on both sides of the drill, we’ll deepen our understanding of this art.
All experience levels are welcome.
Topics will include:
Non-verbal communication and cues in drills
Setting up fertile conditions for practice
Offering more to your partner with less personal risk
Responding authentically to your partner’s work
Unique challenges of attacking during demonstrations
Providing meaningful physical feedback
Safely working with injured partners
Adapting to beginners’ needs
Supporting the growth of advanced practitioners
