Systema Combative Massage: Touch, Sensitivity & Integration

  • Triangle Aikido 4603 Hillsborough Road Durham, NC, 27705 United States (map)

This 4-hour seminar explores how the quality of touch shapes sensitivity, awareness, and martial skill. Rather than focusing on techniques, we will examine the how and why behind effective bodywork. Together we will work with presence, the nervous system, and the ways bodywork principles seamlessly translate into martial arts movement. Through guided practice, you will discover how observation, intelligent pressure, and sensitivity cultivate freedom in both bodywork and martial contexts.

You’ll explore:

  • Solo cultivation practices for sensitivity, structure, and awareness

  • Massage applications in training: preparation, recovery, stress inoculation

  • Adapting pressure to the nervous system and psyche

  • Changing with change: adapting to context and need

  • How bodywork sensitivity translates into martial movement

  • Understanding various types and depths of pressure and their uses
